About Us
The Warm Heart Fashion Accessories Microenterprise team is very small. Josephine, our volunteer coordinator, comes to Warm Heart every winter for two months and then works virtually from her home base in Spain the rest of the year. Founder Evelind is kept abreast of everything that is going on and steps in to help when we need her.
Otherwise we have our volunteer designers/product developers (Britta, Anna) and volunteers who have helped significantly with market research (Jia, Stephanie) and photography (Jessica). Their stories are scattered throughout our site.
Last but not least are our talented Artisans who all work on a contract basis. Short profiles of some of the women we depend on can be found on different product category pages.

Josephine Bow has worked in the fashion and garment industries since the early 1980s, first as a buyer/producer out of Asia, then in Paris and then finally back in Asia.
Along the way, she evolved into a journalist specializing in writing about all aspects of the garment and textile industries for trade journals in Hong Kong, New York and London. For the past quarter of century, she has also been a consultant working for Third Horizon Ltd, specialist in global garment sourcing, in a wide variety of garment industry-related projects. Her story about the challenges of managing a sustainable social cause microbusiness can be found here. |
